the lonely hunters
The hunt is on. They say it's lonely at the top, but what about the bottom? Or the middle even, where most of us live? lonely hunters were formed in Calgary, Canada by Gareth Williams and Laurie Fuhr and it's tenure in cowtown featured some fine and talented folks : Caitlin Copeland, Tynan Groves, Jzero ?omething and the ever present, ever British Ben Rayner.
Then life happened, yanked the table cloth, smashed all the dishes on the floor. Gareth found himself back in his hometown of Winnipeg, with a new attitude and a new lineup. Ryan Mcveigh (bass, vocals) Mike Gavrailoff (guitars, vocals) and Matt "Hild" Hildebrand (drums, handsomeness).
The sounds they make are different too. Less indie rock and more a veg-friendly stew of motown, country rock, punk and gospel.
The hunters are currently up to their eyeballs with their third album, set for the streets sometime in late spring/early summer 09.
